Whether you can be friends or not depends on how well you guys can talk it out and come to an agreement. I'm not going to say it ALWAYS works out, sadly :( but a date and a kiss isn't like an irreversible chemical reaction. Communication is the key!

See, Maya, a lot of people have expectations for that sort of thing. "You have to date because you kissed" "If that happened it's a big deal" "You have to do this because of that." But you have to remember those are expectations, and someone else is still only someone else!
